In what could only be described as an epic battle of man versus booze, Alan Brazil faced the dreaded letter of doom from talkSPORT after an all-night Cheltenham Festival binge knocked him off his radio show perch. The notorious Manchester United alumnus went missing in action in 2024, vanishing into the Cotswolds’ night and waking up just in time to get fired.
It wasn’t Brazil’s first rodeo either; he had a previous dance with destiny that involved going MIA after Gold Cup day celebrations. According to Brazil, the festival’s allure once again led him astray, causing a bike messenger to deliver his doom-laden letter after a night out with his old mate, Jim Steele, who was disguised as a pub landlord!
