Can Hojlund Find His Goal-Scoring Shoes?…

Denmark’s football guru, Brian Riemer, decided it’s time for some good old international TLC for Rasmus Hojlund, who’s currently finding more corners than net at Manchester United. The 22-year-old has been on an “exclusive” two-goal Premier League journey this season, his last victory in the goal department dating back to a 3-2 slip ‘n slide against Nottingham Forest in December.

Hojlund hopes to show Sociedad the sights on Thursday in a Europa League second leg fit to burst with potential quarter-final spots. United scratched out a 1-1 draw in Spain, with Joshua Zirkzee playing party pooper for the home team’s defenses. Still, the Denmark boss couldn’t resist putting Hojlund on the invite list for their Nations League quarter-final bash against Portugal, even if his club report card reads, “Needs Improvement.”

Riemer has a soft spot for success stories but sometimes gives gig tickets to those brave souls struggling to snag the big notes. “The numbers don’t lie,” he chuckled with Ekstra Bladet. “We all love a striker in a gold rush, but Rasmus has that high-kick magic when needed. Up, down, that’s just football’s version of a theme park ride. One goal-fest peaks, the next rises. Here’s hoping he finds his scoring shoes—this time both on the right feet!”
