Ayden Heaven’s Dream Debut at Old Trafford …

Alejandro Garnacho is singing the praises of his mate Ayden Heaven, following the defender’s Premier League debut for Manchester United. And what a debut it was! Heaven made his mark in a 1-1 match against Arsenal, right in the beating heart of Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. He took on the field with the confidence of someone who just remembered they left the iron on at home. Heaven stepped in for Leny Yoro, who was off being attended to, but probably just needed a good nap.

This appearance was only Ayden’s second time wearing United red, with the first being his FA Cup adventure against Fulham. And just like against Fulham, he kept his ice-cool demeanor—not sure if they’re teaching zen or football on those training grounds. Heaven ended the game with enough defensive stats to confuse a mathematician: three clearances, one interception, and one tackle.

Garnacho wasn’t the only one who caught the Heaven fever. United’s boss Ruben Amorim showered glowing compliments too, even if he suggested Heaven might benefit from an occasional espresso for his calm demeanor. The young star will be hoping for more starting XI fun when United face Real Sociedad. Look out for Ayden—cooler than a cucumber in the Arctic!
