Manchester United’s Mountanious Comeback…
Mason Mount’s return from the land of the physios is the kind of news that gets Manchester United fans skipping like they’re in a happily-ever-after musical. After a three-month retreat following his hamstring’s tiff with the December Manchester derby, Mount was spotted back on the training pitch on Wednesday. This could mean his arsenal of skills is nearing its 13th outing this season under the watchful eyes of head coach Ruben Amorim.
Sadly, the Europa League round against Real Sociedad might be too spicy too soon for our midfield maestro. But fear not, as post-international break, he might very well grace us with his dance moves on the pitch. Amorim, clearly smitten by Mount’s tenacity, was heard gushing, “I love that kid!” like a proud parent at a talent show.
Mount’s back in action and could shoulder the load in midfield alongside new teammates. The midfield shuffle means he might decide between starring alongside Manuel Ugarte or take up the front seat with Bruno Fernandes. However it pans out, Mount’s comeback brings tactical flexibility, energy, and of course, a touch of drama – just what United needs to keep the ball rolling and spirits soaring high!
