Rio Ferdinand threw some serious shade at Manchester United’s goalie Altay Bayindir after their match with Arsenal. Bayindir, hoping to impress while Andre Onana was stretching his hamstring like a lazy rubber band, faced the Gunners at Old Trafford. But the only thing Bayindir showed was his uncanny ability to do the limbo under Saliba’s corner, resulting in an easy goal for Arsenal. To top it off, Amorim insisted that Bayindir was more obstructed than traffic during a New York City rush hour! Ferdinand bluntly stated that Bayindir missed his big chance and likened his effort to a chocolate teapot, fine to look at, but utterly useless in function.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s David Raya was showcasing his goalie skills akin to a superhero blocking shots from Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo like they were slow-mo tennis balls. Ferdinand added a silver lining by pointing out the Red Devils had more shots at goal than a frustrated bartender on New Year’s Eve. Although they didn’t score any, he thinks it’s better to be active like an energizer bunny with a malfunctioning battery than sluggishly limp around the pitch.
