Can Ruben Work Wonders at Man United?…
Roy Keane, the master of wit and bluntness, is at it again! This time, he’s casting doubt like confetti on whether Ruben Amorim can perform any magic tricks to turn Manchester United into winners. Amorim, the young manager from Portugal with a wizardly reputation, has been at Old Trafford for a grand total of four months—and folks, the magic wand seems to be missing!
Arriving with plenty of hocus pocus from Sporting CP, Amorim was expected to conjure up improvement faster than you can say “Wingardium Leviosa.” Yet, despite a couple of high-profile wins over city rivals Manchester City and the mighty Gunners, the Reds are still sitting at a rather unfortunate 15th place in the league. In danger of waving goodbye to European football, they might need to pull a rabbit out of the Europa League hat!
In a recent chat with Sky Sports, Roy Keane, known for his heroic 480 appearances for the Reds, raised an eyebrow or two. “We chat about giving managers time, but you can’t be the Titanic’s captain sinking every week,” he mused. “When players start doubting whether the manager’s even RSVP’d to the party, it’s not a good vibe.” Well, it seems the fairytale road to glory is looking more like a banana peel for now!
