Real Betis Success Can’t Save Antony from Brazil Snub…

Looks like the only squad Antony is making headlines in is at Real Betis—but it’s not translating to a samba dance with the Brazil national team. Despite his flourishing form in La Liga, the Manchester United loanee wasn’t invited to the latest Brazil party. Apparently, scoring three goals and helping with two assists isn’t enough to bring him back home for qualifiers against the Colombian and Argentinian football fiestas.

United’s genius, Ruben Amorim, decided the warm Spain climate was better than Old Blighty’s drizzle, so Antony was shipped off to Betis with no return ticket. But alas, no bling-bling option-to-buy was included. He’ll boomerang back to Manchester in the summer, but maybe not with as much value as hoped. Poor Antony had the coveted provisional squad invite yet never made it past the velvet rope this time.

Antony’s agent, Junior Pedroso, serves tea hotter than a British cuppa, blaming Amorim and United for benching his client like it’s a hobby. Meanwhile, Ederson and Savinho are samba-ready, alongside Neymar, who’s making a homecoming dance at Santos—meanwhile, Antony dances on the outside looking in.
