Eriksen Gets His Time to Shine at Old Trafford…
Ruben Amorim dropped a gem when he claimed Rasmus Hojlund was simply too “fatigued” to start for Manchester United against Arsenal. Apparently, Hojlund was so tired he needed a cushion with his bench spot. Amorim injected some fresh legs by bringing Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen into the mix, putting Patrick Dorgu on time-out for his suspension shenanigan.
With Hojlund chilling on the sidelines, it’s up to Joshua Zirkzee to lead United’s attack, flanked by the ever-enthusiastic Alejandro Garnacho and the piano-playing Eriksen doing a two-step behind him. Hojlund seems to have formed his own boy band on the bench, schmoozing with young lads like Chido Obi, who’s taken a break from his European adventures.
Amorim explained to MUTV, “It’s time to mix up the squad like a DJ at a dance party,” pointing out Eriksen’s talent. Who doesn’t love a man who can juggle possession like juggling flaming swords, right? Regarding Hojlund’s bench-warming mission, Amorim added, “He’s more exhausted than a marathon runner. Time to surprise the opponents!”
Sandwiched between Europa adventures, Amorim is aiming to serve a Premier League feast worthy of the fans. Let’s see if the revamped Red Devils rise to the occasion!
