Red Devils’ American Adventure: East Coast Edition!…
Manchester United is headed stateside for an unprecedented third pre-season tour. Yes, you heard it right – the Red Devils can’t get enough of the American hospitality or perhaps they just really love the burgers? This time, they’re ditching sunny California and making their way over to the East Coast, gracing Chicago with their presence under the swanky-sounding “Premier League Summer Series.”
Kicking off the journey, United will face off with West Ham at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on July 26. The last time they played there, they kind of patted Arsenal on the head with a 2-0 win. Next, they’ll take a bite out of the Midwest by playing against Bournemouth at Soldier Field, Chicago – a local hotspot they last visited back in 2015 when Louis van Gaal was roaming the touchline. Finally, Manchester United will wrap up their tour with a dramatic appearance in uncharted territory, facing Everton in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
With their cherubic technical director, Jason Wilcox, pointing out the sheer excitement of playing in “iconic stadiums” and engaging with passionate fans, it seems United can’t resist the irresistible charm and glory of doing it again in the U.S. Let’s hope they packed their GPS.
