Mason’s Roller Coaster Ride of Injuries…
Mason Mount’s year has been like a soap opera in sneakers. The drama unfolded when his muscles decided to throw a tantrum just 10 minutes into the Manchester derby against City. Clearly, someone needs to teach those muscles some discipline! After being replaced by Kobbie Mainoo, Mason meandered back down the tunnel, where rapper Aitch was ready to give him a celebrity hug.
Before his pre-Christmas surprise gift of an injury, Mount had dazzled in the Europa League and started against City to prove his prowess. But alas, the injury fairy hyped up on fairy dust did not get the memo! Coach Ruben Amorim, who seems to have a Mount poster on his wall, mentions Mount has the eye of the tiger (and probably the clunkiest boots from training too).
Mount’s injury has caused a shake-up akin to a disco at Carrington’s medical department. However, Mount is back, apparently fresh from the spa! He returned to training and seems ready to take the Premier League by storm next week with his twinkle toes. With Amorim rooting for him like a footballing Cupid, we all hope Mount can play without another muscle drama episode!
