Exploring Manchester United’s Interest in Baleba…
Manchester United is reportedly probing the possibility of luring Brighton & Hove Albion’s star, Carlos Baleba, over to their side this summer. It seems United has as much enthusiasm for transfers as a squirrel in a nut shop, as discussions are allegedly ongoing to gauge Baleba’s interest in swapping sea-gulls for Red Devils. While Brighton is keen to keep him onboard, United’s new regime under Ruben Amorim thinks adding a top-tier No.6 player could turn their engine room from a go-kart into a Formula 1 car.
As summer’s curtain closes, United’s attempt to bring Baleba to Old Trafford might be more expensive than a gold-plated football. Some of United’s players have even buzzed in Baleba’s ear, painting Old Trafford as the Promised Land. But unless they sell a few players to balance the budget, this deal might just be another footnote. Baleba has been hailed as a midfield marvel, with even Amadou Onana describing their first encounter as witnessing a real-life Hercules make midfield look like a playground.
