Former Manchester United wizard of youth coaching, Adam Lawrence, is embracing his inner Magpie as he takes the reins of Newcastle United’s under-21s team. Having steered Manchester United’s under-18s to three trophies in the magical 2023/24 season, Lawrence sought a new challenge, much like a cat seeking the next sunbeam. His decision was purely driven by ambition and had nothing to do with the odd game of paperwork musical chairs happening at United.
Now stepping up to the under-21 level on Tyneside, Lawrence is ready to sculpt future players as if he were Michelangelo with a football-shaped chisel. Expressing his excitement, he talked about nurturing players not just as athletes but hoverbikes of tomorrow’s soccer field. Newcastle’s Academy Director, Steve Harper, is thrilled to introduce Lawrence to the Geordie fans, lauding his ability to prioritize player development.
