Bayer Leverkusen and Ten Hag Part Ways…

Erik ten Hag’s trip to the Bundesliga was shorter than a cat’s nap, as Bayer Leverkusen showed him the door after just two games! The team had high hopes, replacing Xabi Alonso with the former Manchester United boss, but hopes quickly deflated like a soufflé left outside in winter. Ten Hag managed to gather only a single point, despite a promising start with Jarell Quansah scoring first in their match against Hoffenheim. But after losing 2-1 and a rollercoaster 3-3 draw with a 10-man Werder Bremen, his bags were packed faster than a speeding bullet.

After Saturday’s nail-biter, Ten Hag told Sky that the team “wasn’t ready” and looked as unprepared as a penguin at a beach party. He lamented the lack of fitness and intensity, saying the squad didn’t perform at the end of the game.
