Ruben Says No to Reel Deal!…
In a plot juicier than a football made of fruit jello, Sir Jim Ratcliffe unsuccessfully tried to lure Ruben Amorim to the frosty lands of Iceland. Jim, having mastered the art of mixing business with delightfully chilly fishing trips, wanted Amorim and his United cronies to cast their lines and reel in some serious strategies before United’s match in Stockholm. But Ruben stuck to his guns, focusing on his footie troops back home like a knight guarding his castle against teddy bears.
Meanwhile, while Jim was baiting hooks in the Land of Fire and Ice, he was also spinning plans like a spider on caffeine. Alongside Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox, Sir Jim projected to reel in not just trout but some serious sporting strategies. Rumor has it, they even hooked the idea for United’s eye-watering third offer for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo! But we’ll never know if it was the crisp Nordic air or the snap of the fishing line that inspired such a splashing bid.
With Amorim dodging the fishing trip to boss training at Carrington, the rest of the team preps to tango with Leeds in sweet, sweet Stockholm. After which, United’s American escapade kicks off, paving a golden road through New Jersey, Chicago, and Atlanta. Next up, they hope to net Mbeumo before leaving for the Yanky Doodle Dandy tour!
