Scott McTominay Turns into Cool Penalty-bot…
In the latest episode of “Football Shenanigans,” UEFA has been urged to turn their attention away from morning coffee and address the burning issue of, well, burning lasers. During Scotland’s thrilling 1-0 triumph over Greece in the UEFA Nations League, former Man United midfielder Scott McTominay was in the spotlight, quite literally, thanks to some naughty laser pointers.
The clash in Piraeus saw Greek defender Lazaros Rota playing a deadly game of tag with McTominay’s feet, resulting in a penalty situation as tense as a turkey on Thanksgiving. McTominay, now sporting Napoli colors, approached the spot, looking more like a sci-fi hero than a footballer, ready to ignore pesky laser rays and upset Greek fans, who were trying their best disco ball impression on his face.
Social media erupted with fans asking UEFA if laser shows were the new halftime entertainment. Alas, McTominay, cool as an ice statue, netted the penalty, leaving everyone questioning if he was secretly a laserproof android. As Scotland prepares to host Greece at Hampden Park, maybe they should hand out sunglasses along with the usual tickets. Seems like laser defence is Scotland’s new tactical play!
