From UK Comebacks to Turkish Tantrums…

Jose Mourinho, the master of sideline drama, is generating headlines yet again. Formerly the man in charge at Manchester United, where he added a few trophies to his cabinet, Mourinho now reigns over Fenerbahce. He’s becoming quite the firecracker in the Turkish Super Lig, where it seems like every press conference is a stand-up comedy show.

Flirtations with a Scottish football venture were interrupted by claims of him causing a ruckus during a 1-1 tango with his old flame, Man United, back in October. After receiving a red card, he jokingly mentioned he’s ready to coach the English league’s bottom-feeders once he’s done with his Turkish delight. Someone get that man a UK visa form, stat!

His recent performance critic reviews: “Nobody wants to watch this Turkish league!” which earned him a nice shiny suspension and a fine, initially hefty enough to have Mourinho contemplating life choices. Add to that an unfortunate comment that upset Galatasaray, and now there’s some legal mudslinging. However, Mourinho and his Fenerbahce boys have their eyes on Europa glory—who knows, maybe a rendezvous with Manchester United is written in the stars. Just another day in the life of the Special One!
