Preston’s Prince or Pantomime Villain?…
Poor Milutin Osmajic has found himself on the FA’s naughty list after being accused of some unsporting banter towards Hannibal Mejbri. While the Championship match against Burnley on February 15 should have been about goals and glory, it instead turned into a soap opera, featuring Osmajic as the villain!
Our leading man, Hannibal, marched over to referee Andrew Kitchen, presumably giving him a menu of everything Osmajic allegedly said, followed by a Shakespearean exit from the field in the second half. Directing traffic with cards in hand, the FA graciously accepted their role with a misconduct charge under FA Rule E3 and set a deadline for Osmajic’s best apology performance by next Tuesday.
In a plot twist, Preston is standing by their star, releasing a club statement louder than the average pub debate, claiming Osmajic’s innocence. Until the bats sing and this football opera concludes, Preston and Osmajic are playing the waiting game, keeping mum and practicing their best courtroom faces. Stay tuned, folks, because this footy tale isn’t over yet!
