Marcus’s Magic at Villa Earns England Nod…
Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United escapee, has wiggled his way back into the England squad, thanks to a superhero-like stint at Aston Villa. Yes, folks, new Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel has called up our once-MIA forward, who escaped Old Trafford’s clutches for a surprise January vacation – I mean loan – to Villa Park.
At Villa, Rashford has been turning heads and defenders inside out, with three assists in just nine appearances! Apparently, Unai Emery sprinkled some magic dust, making Rashford un-ghost himself and rediscover his swagger. And now, after playing peekaboo with opponents, he’s got himself a date with destiny – a.k.a., the England squad for some thrilling World Cup action at Wembley against Albania and Latvia.
His old boss, Ruben Amorim, must be humming ‘If Only’ tunes, as he couldn’t ever seem to get Rashford to dance to his tactical rhythm. “Rashford and I just couldn’t tango,” lamented Amorim. But hey, no hard feelings! He wishes Rashford and his new dance partner, Emery, the best as they waltz all the way to the Champions League quarter-finals. So cheer up, Amorim – the Rashford revival is underway, and he’s loving it!
