Hojlund Ends Drought with a Goal and a Giggle…
Rasmus ‘Goal? What’s That?’ Hojlund finally embraced his inner striker last weekend by scoring in Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over Leicester. After 21 games of goal avoidance, Hojlund channeled his inner Ronaldo with a strike so good, even his boots were shocked. “It felt like my first goal against Aston Villa,” he quipped, still unsure whether he remembered how to celebrate.
Hojlund was open and chummy with reporters, sharing tales of missed chances and learning curves. He admitted he’s not quite the Picasso of goals yet, but he’s certainly learning not to paint just in greys. “I’m not exactly the finished article… I mean, sometimes I’m not even a rough draft!” he laughed, brushing off the dust of self-deprecating humor.
