Manchester United eyes Belgian stopper…
Manchester United is gearing up to welcome Royal Antwerp’s goalkeeper, Senne Lammens, in a move as fast as a cheetah on rocket skates! The club has agreed to an £18.2 million deal for Lammens, who is on the last-leg dash to Manchester before the 7 p.m. deadline. Earlier, United flirted with the idea of signing Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa but decided Lammens is their guy. With his arrival, either Altay Bayindir or Andre Onana may have to pack their bags, as United doesn’t plan to start a reality show, “Goalkeepers Gone Wild.”
Now, the talk of the town is which number Lammens will sport. He’s worn the No. 91 with Antwerp, but United may just blow everyone’s minds by handing him No. 12, Tyrell Malacia’s current number. It’s a quick shuffle reminiscent of a magician’s card trick gone haywire. Malacia seems like he’s staying put, albeit not by choice—his move to Elche fizzled out like a candy with a disappointing end. Yet, no need to worry, as Saudi Arabia or Turkey might still have open arms ready after their last-minute shopping on September 10 and 11.
