Thomas Tuchel has tossed the idea of Mason Greenwood playing for England under him into the bin like a crumpled chewing gum wrapper. Greenwood is now a star at Marseille, having swapped his Manchester United shirt for a French beret. He scored 22 goals whipping up stormier weather than a teapot tornado! Although once facing legal issues at United, these have since blown over like a summer breeze, and he even flirted with Jamaica before ghosting them!
Despite his Jamaican passport, Greenwood is staying coy about his international future, making Jamaica coach Steve McClaren wish he had a magic wand to recruit him! McClaren said Greenwood is “not committing to anybody,” leading fans to suspect he’s practicing his best poker face. As Greenwood focuses on club football, McClaren remains hopeful—perhaps dangling a golden invitation or a lifetime supply of jerk chicken will entice him!
