A Riot of Red: Protest Party at Broadhurst Park…
This weekend, Broadhurst Park is about to turn into the hottest spot for Glazer-averse shenanigans. The mighty 1958 group, known for raising heck against the Glazers, just teamed up with FC United, the rebels who left Old Trafford in protest back in 2005. They’re ready to paint the town (and possibly the stadium) red with their ‘United United Day’ bash, coinciding with FC United’s game against Stocktown Town this Saturday.
Festivities kick off at a sharp 1pm with a full-throated fan rally to show who’s boss. At 1.30pm, The 1958 will spill the beans about their anti-Glazer mission during a riveting Q&A. By 2.30pm, fans will flock to the terrace like seagulls to chips, flying banners and flags high, chanting to unseat their arch-nemeses, the Glazers.
As The 1958 spokesperson rattled off, “This day is about anything but pies and pints! We’re smooshing together like peas in a pod to cry havoc on the Glazers’ reign. The FC United gang is also revved up, claiming they’re here to quench Glazer-induced frustrations by promoting peace, love, and affordable football. With banners unfurling and spirits soaring, Saturday promises to be a rollercoaster of red resistance against the Glazer grip!”
